Job Description

The 2nd shift production lead operator at SOLARCYCLE is responsible for overseeing and contributing to the daily operations of a production line in the solar recycling industry, ensuring quality and safety standards are met while guiding and training production staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and drive daily execution of the production line.
  • Supervise and direct production staff, assigning tasks and providing training.
  • Lead and motivate a team of contractual operators.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the production line to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Enforce quality and safety standards, reporting non-compliance.
  • Inspect and test products for quality and functionality.
  • Maintain and update production records, logs, and reports.
  • Monitor and optimize performance and efficiency of production equipment.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for repairs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance production processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment
  • Previous experience as a production lead operator or a similar role
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing production process, equipment, and tools
  • Knowledge of the quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the production equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and instructions
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurements
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production goals and deadlines
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of production staff
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects (maximum of 80 pounds)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other related manufacturing software
