Job Description
The role involves overseeing the management and performance of Autonomous Vehicle Operators and the local vehicle fleet, ensuring efficient operations, safety compliance, and optimal driver scheduling for autonomous trucks in a B2B logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, and hire qualified truck drivers.
- Conduct driver orientation, training, and ongoing performance management.
- Evaluate driver performance through ride-along trips.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs for the fleet.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage vehicle registrations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Manage daily route planning and scheduling for on-time deliveries.
- Address driver concerns and resolve logistical challenges.
- Analyze driver performance metrics and develop operational improvement plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in transportation management, ideally with a focus on driver supervision and fleet operations.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and proven commitment to safety standards.
- Valid US CDL driver’s license, clean driving record and safe driving habits.
- Clean background check, drug screen and DMV Motor Vehicle Record check.
- Ability and experience operating Class 3 to Class 6 vehicles.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
