Job Description

The Valve Engineer at Zeeco is responsible for providing valve expertise, developing technical data sheets, reviewing project specifications, and ensuring compliance and quality in the supply of valves and inline piping components for global environmental and combustion solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project engineering and sales packages to determine equipment scope
  • Provide cost estimates for valves and inline piping components
  • Interpret and implement customer specifications for equipment
  • Develop relationships with global valve suppliers to ensure compliance and timely delivery
  • Create ISA data sheets for various types of valves and inline components
  • Collaborate with mechanical drafting team to ensure proper design dimensions and clearances
  • Perform inspection and testing of equipment prior to shipment, with customer presence if needed
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support sales, visit offices, or meet vendors

Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in reviewing project engineering and sales packages to determine the scope of equipment to be supplied
  • Ability to provide cost estimates for valves and other inline piping components
  • Ability to read customer specifications and implement those specifications as they apply to the AS SOLD equipment
  • Experience developing ISA data sheets for manual ball, gate, globe, and check valves, as well as control valves, automated valves, dampers, and various other inline components
  • Experience developing relationships with valve suppliers worldwide to ensure compliance with customer specifications, testing, and on-time delivery
  • Ability to work with mechanical drafting teams to ensure proper face-to-face dimensions and clearance in mechanical design
  • Experience performing inspection and testing of equipment prior to shipment from fabrication facilities, including with customer presence
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to assist the sales group, visit other offices, or meet vendors, including domestic and overseas destinations
