Job Description

A strategic account manager role focused on driving sales, developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts, and implementing strategic plans within the industrial automation and electronics marketplace, primarily in Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for regional strategic accounts to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across management, procurement, engineering, and sales departments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to support account development, proposals, and customer service initiatives.
  • Conduct business reviews, monitor competitive activity, and recommend improvements for assigned accounts.
  • Utilize CRM systems to track client information, sales activities, and performance metrics.
  • Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical solutions to customers.
  • Qualify and follow up on sales opportunities within assigned strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop field presentations and application notes.
  • Achieve or exceed sales quotas through proactive sales activities and relationship management.

Requirements

  • A four-year degree in a technical discipline preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the electronics or industrial automation controls marketplace.
  • Experience working with distribution is preferred.
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills needed to communicate at all levels.
  • Exhibits high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Successful history in achieving strategic and sales targets.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Must be able to travel via airplane.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel via automobile for up to six hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel overnight up to 40 nights as dictated by assigned territory.
  • Must comply with company dress code guidelines.
  • Punctuality and regular, on-time attendance are required.
