Job Description

A Field Service Specialist at Zeeco is responsible for supporting vapor recovery and combustion systems through troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning, and customer service, ensuring environmental safety and equipment efficiency in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Zeeco's Vapor Recovery, Vapor Combustion, and Marine Vapor Control Systems in the region.
  • Provide emergency troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-call support to resolve unplanned equipment shutdowns.
  • Commission, retrofit, and upgrade vapor control and product loading equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and automation issues using PLCs, software tools, and instrumentation.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through on-site service, documentation, and system improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure safety compliance by operating tools, assets, and vehicles according to safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus a 2-year technical certificate, or Journeyman electrical license, or 4 years of field service experience in instrumentation, electrical, and controls repair and replacement in a similar field.
  • Work experience that shows work in instrumentation, electrical, and controls repair and replacement for 4 years in a similar field.
  • Electrical skills equivalent to Journeyman level or a 2-year instrumentation engineering certificate.
  • Ability to decipher mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, basic programming, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of VFD, recorders, HMIs, and associated controls, and proficiency with determining and isolating problems within the systems.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, tablets, and reporting tools.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, bend, work in tight limited movement areas, stand for long periods, and perform tasks in extreme weather and confined spaces while wearing PPE.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently under pressure, and emotional intelligence to handle challenging or stressful customer situations.
  • Must be able to obtain and receive within 6 weeks of the first day a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Must be DISA ISNET World qualified and able to be entered and accepted for work within ISNet World and DISA safety protocols.
