Job Description
A leadership role overseeing software engineering teams working on healthcare data-driven solutions, focusing on building scalable platforms, ensuring high-quality code, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and align team efforts with project vision and strategic goals.
- Set and enforce standards for code quality, architecture, and processes.
- Deliver high-quality solutions on time, balancing trade-offs and business needs.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define scalable, customer-centric solutions.
- Engage with technical details to ensure sound decision-making within the team.
- Collaborate across teams, providing clear communication and actionable feedback.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent to foster a culture of learning and growth.
- Champion privacy and security compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
Requirements
- At least 4 years managing software engineers at different levels, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
- At least 5 years of hands-on full-stack web application development experience with strong API development skills and experience in highly data-driven systems.
- Proficiency in modern frameworks and experience leveraging AI-enabled development tools like Cursor, Claude, etc., to improve team velocity and quality, with a strong preference for Python, TypeScript, and React experience.
- Experience solving complex problems that deliver tangible value to customers.
- Ability to work effectively with Product Management, UX, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to align technical execution with business goals while identifying risks and opportunities.
- Ability to tailor messages to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with diverse teams and leveraging varied perspectives.
- Champion privacy and security, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and HITRUST.
