Job Description
A Senior QA Automation Engineer responsible for developing and executing automated and manual test strategies, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery in a green energy project.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement test strategies, including manual and automated testing approaches.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests focused on REST API and regression testing.
- Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Perform exploratory and functional testing to validate requirements and user flows.
- Identify, document, and manage defects, collaborating with developers for resolution.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, story refinements, and risk assessments.
- Lead and support user acceptance testing (UAT) initiatives with internal or external users.
- Maintain test data and ensure proper test environment configuration.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tooling, and practices.
Requirements
- Solid experience maintaining and executing both manual and automated tests, preferably in Agile settings.
- Strong skills in TypeScript or JavaScript (we don't expect both).
- Hands-on experience in automated API testing, using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or similar.
- Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and tools like Cucumber.
- Experience using modern testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, or Cypress (Playwright is a plus).
- Comfortable with version control systems e.g., Git and command-line tools.
- Proven experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, using platforms like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong quality mindset.
- Good negotiating and influencing skills, particularly in cross-functional environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within distributed and multicultural teams.
