Job Description

The role involves leading the development of a foundational AI Data Platform, focusing on transforming enterprise data into clean, governed, and AI-ready assets. It includes overseeing data ingestion, unstructured data processing, governance, and infrastructure architecture to support advanced AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of unstructured data pipelines, including document parsing, OCR, and text normalization.
Design and oversee indexing strategies optimized for large language model (LLM) consumption, including semantic chunking and embedding strategies.
Establish metadata extraction protocols to ensure high-fidelity knowledge capture for internal and client use.
Define standards and build tooling for data ingestion from client systems, supporting batch and streaming data.
Implement data governance measures, including data contracts, automated validation, PII redaction, encryption, and audit trails.
Maintain operational SLAs and optimize cloud-native infrastructure costs with monitoring and incident response protocols.
Architect and manage data infrastructure to support operational efficiency and enterprise AI readiness strategies.
Lead and scale a team of data and platform engineers, providing documentation, standards, and self-service tools.

Requirements

10 years of experience in data-heavy engineering or platform environments
2 years leading platform or data engineering teams
Proven track record of delivering reusable internal data capabilities rather than one-off pipelines
Strong software engineering foundation with a platform mindset
Mandatory experience with Vector Databases such as Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate
Proven ability to structure enterprise data for LLMs, including chunking, enrichment, embedding, and relationship mapping
Deep expertise in SQL, ETL ELT, and data modeling
Strong experience with parsing, OCR, metadata enrichment, and unstructured pipelines
Experience with cloud-native architectures including Containers and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Strong operational mindset across monitoring, alerting, and cost management
Strong proficiency in LLM concepts and AI-ready data design
