Job Description
The Water Wastewater Stormwater Project Manager oversees the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, leading technical teams and engaging with clients to deliver sustainable water solutions in Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project teams through planning, design, construction, start-up, and operations of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.
- Provide engineering support on drinking water, stormwater, and wastewater projects.
- Lead the technical delivery of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Engage with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand and support their needs.
- Evaluate, plan, design, and construct water, wastewater, and stormwater systems and infrastructure.
- Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.
Requirements
- Strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water, stormwater, and/or wastewater infrastructure and systems.
- Experience engaging with client stakeholders such as operators, superintendents, and public officials to understand how to support their needs.
- Familiarity with a broad range of issues related to water, wastewater, or stormwater, including master planning, treatment, distribution, collection systems, flood risk mitigation, watershed management, and stormwater conveyance.
- Ability to lead the technical delivery of multiple projects.
- Must be familiar with local and federal regulations related to water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Ability to support marketing and proposal efforts for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Experience managing project teams from the planning, preliminary design, final design, construction phases, start-up, and operations of facilities or infrastructure.
- Ability to collaborate with and direct a team of junior and mid-level staff, as well as work with mid- and senior-level technical staff and leadership across the organization.
- Complete understanding of the technical aspects of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure and systems.
- Must be a technically focused individual with strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing relevant infrastructure.
- Ability to work in Southern California (Los Angeles or San Diego) and travel locally as required.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in engineering or related field (implied by the technical expertise required).
