Job Description
The Water Project Engineer is responsible for collaborating with municipal clients to develop, design, and deliver drinking water projects across the New England region, including tasks such as planning, designing, permitting, and constructing water systems while supporting project management and client relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, and deliver drinking water projects.
- Evaluate, plan, design, and oversee the construction of drinking water systems.
- Lead the technical delivery of multiple water projects in coordination with project and technical managers.
- Work directly with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Support marketing and proposal efforts for new projects.
Requirements
- A Professional Engineer license (or equivalent) is required.
- Strong experience in evaluating, planning, designing, and constructing drinking water systems.
- Familiarity with a broad range of practice areas including master planning, permitting, treatment, and distribution systems is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with municipal clients to develop, design, and deliver drinking water projects across the New England region, including Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
- Experience in leading the technical delivery of multiple projects in collaboration with Project and Technical Managers.
- Ability to work directly with clients and internal teams to support project execution.
- Willingness to support marketing and proposal efforts related to water projects.
- Availability to travel up to 20% within the New England region to client sites.
- A detail-oriented, technically focused, and client-focused approach to work.
- Ability to participate actively in company and Drinking Practice initiatives.
- Access to senior technical staff and managers for project support and mentorship.
