The Wastewater Plant Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility, ensuring efficient plant performance and regulatory compliance across various shifts. The role involves outdoor work and supports environmental protection efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility.
Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and infrastructure at the treatment plant.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
Assist in monitoring and controlling treatment processes to maintain water quality.
Support certification and training activities related to wastewater operations.
Requirements
Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment facility as directed by the Project Manager.
Possess the ability to work any shift within a 24/7 plant schedule, including 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am shifts, with different days off depending on the shift.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent educational background.
Have the physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while protecting water resources.
Be willing to work outdoors and engage in physical tasks related to wastewater plant operations and maintenance.
Be able to comply with all safety and operational procedures required for wastewater treatment plant operations.
Be willing to participate in industry certification programs and support efforts to earn, upgrade, and maintain relevant certifications within the industry.
