Job Description
This role involves providing drafting support to design staff using AutoCAD Civil 3D, creating various project drawings such as site layouts and utility plans, and collaborating with project teams to ensure timely completion of engineering designs in the construction and land development sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices and procedures
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete project assignments
- Produce detailed drawings such as soil erosion plans, site layouts, grading, storm sewer, water, and sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and staking
- Edit and modify plans based on revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients
- Communicate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to monitor workflow and meet chargeability goals
Requirements
- High School Diploma Required
- 4 years of previous design experience within construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments on time and within Atwell standards
- Ability to produce various drawings specific to projects including soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking
- Ability to complete edits and modify plans as revised by agencies, municipalities, and clients as directed
- Effective communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status to meet chargeability goals
