The Stormwater Senior Technical Manager leads and supports multi-disciplinary stormwater engineering projects, overseeing planning, design, permitting, and construction, while mentoring staff and engaging with clients to deliver sustainable water management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the engineering design and technical delivery of municipal stormwater projects from planning through final design, permitting, construction, and closeout.
Manage and mentor a team of junior staff members working on stormwater systems.
Coordinate with local regulators to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Support marketing and proposal efforts to secure new projects.
Lead study, planning, and design efforts related to stormwater systems, including water quality treatment and flood mitigation resiliency.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality stormwater engineering solutions.
Requirements
The candidate must have strong experience in study, planning, and design of stormwater systems, including familiarity with a broad range of issues related to master planning, water quality treatment, and flood mitigation resiliency.
The candidate must be a Technical Manager with the ability to lead the technical delivery of multiple projects.
The candidate must be familiar with local regulators relevant to stormwater projects.
The candidate must have experience leading and supporting engineering on municipal stormwater projects.
The candidate must have experience with drinking water, wastewater, and industrial wastewater applications, as this experience is considered valuable.
The candidate must have the ability to direct and collaborate with a team of junior staff.
The candidate must be able to support marketing and proposal efforts, as appropriate.
The candidate must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time with clients in Florida and support occasional travel within the US to support national practice strategic initiatives.
The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in stormwater engineering or related fields.
The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
The candidate must be able to work in Tampa, FL, with a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days a week in the office or on-site with clients.
