Job Description
The SCADA Engineer will support the development, implementation, and management of automation and control systems for water, wastewater, and remediation projects across the New England region, collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage water, wastewater, and remediation automation and control systems.
- Support projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participate in site startup activities, preconstruction, and kick-off meetings at job sites.
- Travel regularly to project sites to support SCADA system startups and project implementation.
Requirements
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of and ability to develop, implement, and manage automation and control systems for water, wastewater, and remediation projects, supporting projects from planning through completion.
- The candidate must have experience supporting medium to large implementation projects that may be standalone or multidisciplinary SCADA projects.
- The candidate must be able to work within the project scope, schedule, and budget constraints and meet project requirements.
- The candidate must have strong communication and technical skills to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- The candidate must be willing to support projects across the New England Region, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, with regional travel up to 80%, including occasional overnight travel.
- The candidate must be able to support regular travel to job sites within driving distance to support SCADA project startups, participate in preconstruction and kick-off meetings, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- The candidate must have the ability to collaborate with a team of project managers, technical managers, engineers, and operations staff.
- The candidate must have a relevant educational background, such as a degree in engineering, automation, control systems, or a related field (implied, as technical skills are required).
- The candidate must be able to support projects from planning through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
- The candidate must be able to serve as a trusted advisor to clients, keeping them and project managers informed on project status and identifying future operational improvement opportunities.
