Job Description
The Health Safety Manager is responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing health and safety programs across multiple facilities in the New England area, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a safe work environment within the Operations Management business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess health and safety needs and risks across multiple facilities
- Assist in implementing safety programs and policies
- Create systems, procedures, and tools to support corporate safety initiatives
- Provide guidance and assistance to internal clients regarding regulatory and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with safety management team to ensure safety standards are met
Requirements
- Possess a Health Safety or related applied science degree.
- Have at least ten years of progressive safety experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience providing guidance and assistance to internal clients regarding regulatory and company compliance requirements related to health and safety.
- Experience assessing health safety needs and risks across multiple facilities.
- Experience assisting in the implementation of safety programs and policies.
- Experience creating systems, procedures, and tools necessary to effectively implement corporate safety programs and policies throughout a business.
- Ability to work primarily in the New England area, specifically in MA, ME, NH, and CT.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with the Senior Operations Management Safety Manager, Operations Management Health Safety Specialists, and the VP of Health and Safety.
