Job Description

The Health Safety Manager is responsible for assessing safety needs, implementing safety programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple facilities in the New England area, working closely with senior safety staff to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess health and safety needs and risks across multiple facilities
  • Assist in implementing safety programs and policies
  • Create systems, procedures, and tools to effectively execute corporate safety programs and policies
  • Provide guidance and assistance to internal clients regarding regulatory and company compliance related to health and safety

Requirements

  • Possess a Health Safety or related applied science degree.
  • Have at least ten years of progressive safety experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience providing guidance and assistance to internal clients regarding regulatory and company compliance requirements related to health and safety.
  • Experience assessing health safety needs and risks across multiple facilities.
  • Experience assisting in the implementation of safety programs and policies.
  • Experience creating systems, procedures, and tools necessary to effectively implement corporate safety programs and policies throughout a business.
  • Ability to work primarily in the New England area, specifically in MA, ME, NH, and CT.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with senior safety management, health safety specialists, and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements and company safety standards.
  • Proficiency in developing and assisting with safety systems, procedures, and tools.
  • Physical ability to perform safety assessments and related activities across multiple facilities (implied, as safety assessments typically involve site visits).
