Job Description
The Hazardous Waste Technician is responsible for handling, sorting, labeling, and collecting hazardous and non-hazardous waste at a large industrial facility, supporting environmental safety and compliance efforts while starting a career in the environmental field.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle, sort, label, and collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste from satellite accumulation areas at a large industrial facility.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and policies.
- Demonstrate basic communication and customer service skills related to waste management activities.
Requirements
- Handle, sort, label, and collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste from satellite accumulation areas throughout a large industrial facility at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
- Demonstrate basic communication and customer service skills.
- Be computer literate.
- Be detail oriented.
- Complete Health and Safety trainings and comply with all company Health and Safety procedures and policies.
- Work the day shift schedule, which rotates as needed to cover weekend hours.
