Job Description
The Sales Director at Voltus is responsible for driving sales of energy optimization services and demand response programs to commercial and industrial clients, managing the entire sales lifecycle, and building strong customer relationships to support the company's growth in sustainable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) optimization services and demand response programs to commercial and industrial clients.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle, including developing, proposing, and closing business opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, building and maintaining relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure solutions are technically viable and economically attractive.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to maximize asset flexibility, generate cash, and unlock bill savings.
- Provide comprehensive account management for existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
- Experience in managing the entire sales lifecycle, including developing, proposing, and closing business opportunities related to Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) optimization services and demand response programs.
- Proven ability to act as a trusted customer advisor and build and maintain relationships with key commercial and industrial clients.
- Demonstrated success in generating cash for customers through sales activities that maximize operational flexibility and unlock bill savings.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills to ensure proposed solutions are technically viable and economically attractive.
- Ability to manage comprehensive account management for commercial and industrial clients.
- Experience in selling energy-related solutions, specifically in the areas of energy storage, demand response, or related energy services.
- Authorized to work from a home location in the US or Canada, with the ability to work primarily from the home country and obtain approval for travel to other countries as per company policy.
- No visa sponsorship or transfer support is provided; candidates must be authorized to work in the US or Canada at the time of hire.
