Job Description

A Senior Security Engineer - Red Team responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and enhancing the security posture of Insider's platform through simulated attacks and security assessments, working remotely with a focus on innovative cybersecurity practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct red team security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the company's systems and infrastructure.
  • Simulate cyber attack scenarios to test defenses and improve security posture.
  • Develop and execute penetration testing plans and methodologies.
  • Analyze security weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with security and development teams to implement security improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Security Engineer - Red Team or in a similar cybersecurity role with a focus on offensive security, penetration testing, or red teaming.
  • Proven ability to identify, exploit, and remediate security vulnerabilities in complex systems and networks.
  • Strong understanding of security assessment methodologies, attack techniques, and exploitation frameworks.
  • Experience with penetration testing tools and frameworks such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Cobalt Strike, or similar.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments relevant to security assessments.
  • Ability to develop and customize scripts or exploits using programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of security controls, defense mechanisms, and how to bypass or test them effectively.
  • Experience conducting red team exercises and simulated adversary attacks to evaluate security posture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to document findings, prepare reports, and present security assessments to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant security certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within agile teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform security assessments that may require working in various environments or handling hardware components.
