Job Description
This internship offers undergraduate civil engineering students hands-on experience in highway design, including geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, and preparing final plans and estimates, working alongside professional engineers in a structured summer program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with highway design, geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, and cross sections.
- Contribute to the production of final plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Apply academic knowledge to support the development of safe and efficient transportation infrastructure designs.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an interest in highway design.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week with occasional overtime throughout the summer of 2026 from mid-May through mid-August.
- Ability to work primarily from the office with the possibility of flexible hybrid work arrangements.
- Willingness to assist with highway design, geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, cross sections, and production of final plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
