Job Description
A Senior Data Scientist role focused on building and driving growth strategies for a new direct-to-consumer mental health platform through experimentation, user behavior analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw user behavior data into actionable growth strategies.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to build measurement frameworks from scratch.
- Uncover key moments in the user journey to optimize engagement and retention.
- Design and analyze experiments to inform product and growth decisions with statistical rigor.
- Understand user behavior to improve funnels, retention, and lifetime value (LTV).
- Define and establish the data culture within the consumer team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a data science or analytics role with a focus on understanding user behavior, improving funnels, retention, and lifetime value (LTV).
- Ability to transform raw user behavior data into actionable growth strategies and inform high-stakes product and growth decisions.
- Experience building measurement frameworks from scratch in a 0-1 environment, partnering directly with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams.
- Strong statistical skills to ensure experiments are grounded in statistical rigor and to analyze experiment results effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to define and develop a data culture within a team or organization.
- Experience in an analytics-first, experimentation-driven environment, focusing on understanding user behavior and driving product growth.
- Ability to uncover key insights and 'Aha!' moments in the user journey to inform product development and growth strategies.
- Experience working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, with the autonomy to drive growth from the initial stages of a product launch.
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal, with the ability to work remotely.
- Excellent collaboration skills to partner directly with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams.
