Job Description
A Backend Engineer Team Lead responsible for establishing and scaling AI-driven infrastructure for real-time clinical care, leading a high-performance engineering team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to expand healthcare services across various life stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish the technical vision and scale the AI-driven infrastructure for Bloom's real-time clinical care
- Lead and mentor a high-performance engineering team
- Ensure excellence through automated pipelines and robust architecture
- Partner with Product and Infrastructure teams to drive software development and expand care categories
- Balance hands-on technical leadership with team motivation, performance monitoring, and talent recruitment
- Bridge technical innovation with operational success to maintain Bloom's leadership in accessible health technology
Requirements
- Establish the technical vision and scale the AI-driven infrastructure powering Bloom’s real-time clinical care.
- Lead and mentor a high-performance engineering team, ensuring excellence through automated pipelines, robust architecture, and continuous skill development.
- Partner with Product and Infrastructure teams to drive the software lifecycles necessary to expand care categories across every life stage.
- Possess hands-on technical leadership experience in software engineering, including designing and maintaining scalable, robust architecture.
- Demonstrate experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, including team motivation, performance monitoring, and recruitment of top-tier talent.
- Have a strong understanding of backend development, infrastructure, and AI-driven systems relevant to healthcare technology.
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in a senior or lead engineering role, with a focus on backend or infrastructure development.
- Have a proven track record of establishing technical vision and scaling complex systems in a healthcare or similar domain.
- Possess a relevant educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but implied).
