Job Description
A Senior Backend Engineer at Sword Health will develop and maintain AI-powered healthcare solutions to help improve patient outcomes and support the company's mission to eliminate pain worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems for AI-powered healthcare solutions
- Design scalable and efficient server-side architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and improvements
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of backend services
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in backend development
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Proficiency in backend development skills, including experience with relevant programming languages and frameworks used in AI Care solutions.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable backend systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including data structures, algorithms, and system architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in working with AI or machine learning technologies is required.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and frontend teams.
- Experience with cloud services and deployment (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is required.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software on time in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders.
- Educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
