Job Description

The Head of Data will lead the data science and data engineering team at Sword Predict, developing and executing technical strategies to leverage machine learning and data analysis for improving healthcare outcomes and reducing costs for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the data science and data engineering team for Sword Predict.
Contribute hands-on to the development and implementation of machine learning algorithms.
Own the technical strategy for Predict's algorithms and data infrastructure.
Analyze claims data, electronic medical records, and external datasets to identify high-risk members.
Develop and enhance the team's capabilities and technical skills.
Serve as a technical expert in client-facing engagements alongside sales and customer success teams.
Drive measurable clinical and financial outcomes through data-driven solutions.

Requirements

Have a legal right to work in the United States; immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
Experience leading a data science and data engineering team, with a proven ability to manage and develop talented technical staff.
Hands-on contribution to data science and data engineering work that drives measurable clinical and financial outcomes.
Own the technical strategy for algorithms and data infrastructure related to predictive healthcare models.
Develop and enhance team capabilities in data science, data engineering, and related technical areas.
Serve as a trusted technical expert in client-facing engagements alongside sales and customer success teams.
Experience analyzing claims data, eligibility files, prescription history, electronic medical records, and external datasets for healthcare applications.
Proficiency in machine learning techniques used to identify high-risk members for musculoskeletal conditions and route them to appropriate care pathways.
Ability to develop, implement, and oversee data infrastructure supporting predictive algorithms.
Strong understanding of healthcare data sources and their integration into machine learning models.
Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning algorithms in a healthcare setting.
Experience working in a remote-first environment with flexible working hours.
Full-time employment status, regularly working at least 25 hours per week.
