Job Description
The Head of Data will lead the data science and engineering team at Sword Predict, developing machine learning algorithms and data infrastructure to identify high-risk members and improve healthcare outcomes while managing technical strategy and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the data science and data engineering team for Sword Predict.
- Contribute hands-on to develop algorithms and data infrastructure that drive clinical and financial outcomes.
- Own the technical strategy for Predict's machine learning algorithms and data systems.
- Develop and enhance the capabilities of the data team.
- Serve as a technical expert in client-facing engagements alongside sales and customer success teams.
Requirements
- Experience leading a data science and data engineering team, with a proven ability to manage a talented technical team and contribute hands-on to work that drives measurable clinical and financial outcomes.
- Ownership and development of the technical strategy for Predict's algorithms and data infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze claims data, eligibility files, prescription history, electronic medical records, and enriched external datasets to identify members at high risk for musculoskeletal conditions and route them to appropriate care pathways.
- Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in a healthcare or related environment.
- Strong understanding of data infrastructure, data pipelines, and algorithms relevant to healthcare data analysis.
- Experience serving as a technical expert in client-facing engagements alongside sales and customer success teams.
- Full-time employment eligibility in the United States with a legal right to work; immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
- Demonstrated ability to develop team capabilities and foster technical growth.
- Experience in managing or contributing to projects that aim to reduce unnecessary healthcare costs and improve clinical outcomes.
- Ability to work in a remote-first environment with flexible working hours, including a commitment to working at least 25 hours per week.
