Job Description

The Head of Commercial Strategy will lead market positioning, competitive differentiation, and pipeline development for Sword Health's AI-driven cardiometabolic health solution, Pulse, working to establish it as a category leader through strategic influence, market intelligence, and product-market alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish Pulse as the category leader in cardiometabolic health solutions through market positioning and competitive differentiation.
  • Drive pipeline generation and gather commercial intelligence to ensure Pulse's success against competitors.
  • Shape the external commercial narrative and internal market insights to influence product positioning and evolution.
  • Build relationships with health plans, brokers, consultants, and platform partners to enhance market perception of Pulse.
  • Ensure sales teams are equipped with positioning, proof points, and market intelligence to effectively compete.
  • Align product development with market needs to reinforce Pulse's position as the unambiguous category leader.

Requirements

  • Must have a legal right to work in the United States; immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided.
  • Experience in establishing and leading market positioning, competitive differentiation, pipeline generation, and commercial intelligence strategies in the healthcare or related industry.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic impact through personal expertise, relationships, and influence across an organization without managing a team.
  • Deep understanding of the cardiometabolic health space, including conditions such as hypertension, pre-diabetes, diabetes, and GLP-1 support, and the competitive landscape including solutions like Hello Heart, Omada, Teladoc, Virta, and Vida.
  • Ability to shape and communicate the external commercial narrative and internal market insights to influence product positioning, pipeline development, and product evolution.
  • Experience in working with health plans, self-insured employers, brokers, consultants, and platform partners to establish market leadership.
  • Strong skills in market positioning, competitive differentiation, and commercial intelligence to ensure Pulse wins against incumbent solutions in the cardiometabolic space.
  • Ability to develop and present proof points, relationships, and market intelligence to sales teams to ensure they have an advantage in competitive discussions.
  • Experience in translating market needs into product development insights to ensure the product reflects market demands and positions as a category leader.
  • Excellent communication skills to serve as the external face of Pulse’s commercial narrative and the internal voice of the market.
  • Full-time availability to work regularly 25 hours per week or more.
  • Physical and mental capacity to perform the duties associated with a high-impact strategic role in a healthcare technology environment.
