Job Description
The Chief of Staff to the Chief People Officer at Sword Health supports strategic planning, operational execution, and cross-functional coordination within the People Team to build a high-performance, AI-enabled organization focused on talent and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chief People Officer (CPO) in strategic planning and execution.
- Lead and manage the People Team's operating cadence, metrics, and key initiatives.
- Coordinate planning, prioritization, and operational excellence across People functions.
- Manage the portfolio of initiatives including AI and automation roadmaps.
- Support the Impatient Thought Leadership Platform and CHRO Advisory Board activities.
- Ensure alignment and execution across People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Benefits Strategy teams.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting executive leadership, preferably as a Chief of Staff or in a similar strategic operational role.
- Demonstrate proven ability to drive planning, prioritization, and operational excellence across multiple initiatives within a complex organization.
- Experience in managing and maintaining operational cadences, North Star metrics, and scorecards to track organizational performance.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of key initiatives, including AI and automation roadmaps, ensuring priorities are clear, aligned, and delivered with speed and accountability.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams such as People Operations, People Partners, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Benefits Strategy, and executive advisory boards.
- Strong strategic partnership skills and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, particularly the Chief People Officer.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and execution skills to ensure effective implementation of organizational initiatives.
- Experience working in or with high-performance organizations focused on talent density, growth acceleration, and AI-enabled people experiences.
- Ability to support and enable key commercial engagements led by the CPO and Benefits Strategy Leader.
- Proficiency in maintaining and analyzing organizational metrics and scorecards to inform decision-making.
- Legal eligibility to work in Portugal, including possession of a valid EU visa, and willingness to work remotely from Portugal.
- Understanding of healthcare or AI-enabled healthcare organizations is preferred but not mandatory.
