Job Description
A Backend Engineer at Sword Health will contribute to developing AI-powered solutions aimed at improving patient outcomes and scaling the company's global impact in healthcare technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems for AI-powered healthcare solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable backend architecture
- Implement and optimize backend algorithms to support AI Care functionalities
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- This position requires experience in backend engineering, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain backend systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for backend development (such as Python, Java, or similar) is required.
- Experience with AI Care or related healthcare technology is preferred.
- Ability to work remotely and independently, managing tasks effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver more than expected on behalf of members and clients.
- Commitment to the company's core values, including doing it for the patients every day.
- Excellent communication skills in English, as evidenced by participation in English classes or equivalent proficiency.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with a global team spanning three continents.
