Job Description
The Senior Treasury role involves managing trade commodity financing, optimizing treasury operations, and supporting corporate financing strategies within a trading environment, with a focus on trade finance instruments, treasury systems, and liquidity management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage trade commodity financing instruments such as standby letters of credit, bank guarantees, inventory financing, and transaction-based financing.
- Collaborate with banking partners to secure trade finance availability and ensure proper documentation, approvals, and compliance.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposures, execute hedging activities, and incorporate FX data into dashboards.
- Prepare and submit asset-based borrowing base certificates, and track collateral, receivables, inventory, and shipment flows.
- Maintain and optimize the Treasury Management System (FIS Integrity) to ensure data accuracy and support system improvements.
- Prepare monthly treasury dashboards and reports on cash, debt, liquidity, trade finance utilization, and working capital metrics.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of treasury experience, preferably in a trading environment, with proven expertise in trade finance instruments
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI, with strong data skills, ideally including VBA and Python
- Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems, specifically FIS Integrity
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage commodity trade finance instruments, including standby letters of credit, bank guarantees, inventory financing, and transaction-based commodity financing
- Experience engaging directly with banks to secure trade finance availability
- Experience partnering with Trading and Operations teams to ensure proper documentation, approvals, execution, and compliance with contractual terms, facility limits, and credit policies
- Ability to monitor FX exposures, execute hedging activities, and integrate FX data into dashboards to support investment and FX transactions
- Experience preparing and submitting asset-based borrowing base certificates, monitoring eligible receivables, inventory, shipment flows, and collateral reporting
- Ability to track facility utilization and covenant compliance
- Experience maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing Treasury Management Systems, ensuring data accuracy, automated reporting, and supporting system process improvements
- Ability to prepare monthly treasury dashboards covering cash, debt, liquidity, trade finance utilization, and working capital metrics
- Capability to deliver variance analyses, market insights, and ad-hoc reporting to support management decisions and audits
- Proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to solving complex challenges
