Job Description

This role involves designing and implementing scalable, resilient core systems in a full-stack environment, collaborating across teams to develop innovative solutions for environmental commodities trading and decarbonization strategies, while providing technical leadership and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design core systems, ensuring they are maintainable, scalable, and future-proof
Assist service teams during implementation and guide technical decisions and trade-offs
Collaborate across teams to align on shared goals and translate ideas into technical concepts
Work across the full technology stack, including infrastructure as code and data engineering concepts
Partner with business units such as Trading, Legal, Risk, and Operations to develop solutions
Mentor team members, set architectural standards, and incorporate emerging technologies to improve workflows

Requirements

10 years in software development within product-led companies, ideally in fintech or B2B SaaS at scale
Strong in TypeScript for modern frontend development, with solid backend experience in Python and Node.js
Deep hands-on experience with AWS, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure-as-Code using CDK and Terraform
Experience with event-driven systems such as Kinesis and Kafka
Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes
Proven track record in architectural leadership, defining standards, and mentoring teams
Strong systems thinking, excellent communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
