Job Description
This role involves designing and implementing scalable, resilient software systems in a full-stack capacity, collaborating across teams to develop innovative solutions in environmental commodities trading and decarbonization strategies, with a focus on architectural leadership and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design core systems for scalability and resilience
- Assist service teams during implementation to ensure maintainable and scalable systems
- Make technical trade-offs to develop robust, future-proof system designs
- Collaborate across teams to clarify ideas and align on technical solutions
- Work across the full technology stack, including infrastructure as code and data engineering
- Partner with business units such as Trading, Legal, Risk, and Operations to develop solutions
- Mentor team members, set architectural standards, and incorporate emerging technologies
Requirements
- 10 years in software development within product-led companies, ideally in fintech or B2B SaaS at scale
- Strong experience in TypeScript for modern frontend development
- Solid backend experience in Python and Node.js
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as CDK and Terraform
- Experience with event-driven systems including Kinesis and Kafka
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Proven track record in architectural leadership, defining standards, and mentoring teams
- Strong systems thinking, excellent communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
