Job Description
The role involves designing and developing a modern, cloud-native data platform to support the entire trading lifecycle, enabling reliable, scalable, and intelligent data solutions for decarbonization strategies and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop the cloud-native data platform covering data ingestion, transformation, storage, and delivery across the trading lifecycle
- Define and implement data models, APIs, and governance frameworks to ensure data consistency, scalability, and transparency
- Lead the development of streaming and batch data pipelines using tools like Airflow, dbt, Kafka, and Spark
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and data scientists to design reusable data services and self-serve data capabilities
- Establish observability and data quality frameworks to maintain data trust, reliability, and compliance
- Contribute to long-term data and AI strategy to enable automation and advanced analytics
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or platform engineering with a proven record of building scalable data systems.
- Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with modern cloud ecosystems, with AWS preferred.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CDK.
- Experience working in containerized environments.
- Deep knowledge of modern data stack tools including Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Kafka, Kinesis, and Spark.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, lineage, and security principles for enterprise-scale platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership in defining architectural standards and patterns that promote operational excellence and scalability.
- Exceptional communication and mentorship skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
