Job Description
A Software Engineering Manager responsible for leading and scaling the post-trade engineering infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, performance, and alignment with business goals through team leadership, technical strategy, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale multiple engineering teams across post-trade, settlements, and financial integration systems
- Define and execute the technical strategy for software development, architecture, and delivery
- Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams to foster a culture of accountability and improvement
- Oversee system architecture, ensure performance, reliability, and uphold engineering standards
- Collaborate with product and operations teams to align engineering solutions with business priorities
- Communicate complex technical ideas effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
- Proven background leading software or platform engineering teams in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
- Strong foundation in backend or full-stack development, with hands-on experience in TypeScript, Python, and cloud-native architectures AWS or similar.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
- Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent and ability to align technology decisions with business impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple teams and levels.
- Continuous improvement focus, systems thinking approach, and comfort working in complex, ambiguous environments.
