Job Description
This hybrid role involves originating and executing deals in environmental commodities and power markets within the APAC region, managing client relationships, and collaborating with global teams to drive growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand STX Group's presence in the APAC region.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of high-value clients in environmental certificates and power markets.
- Originate, structure, and close deals of varying sizes with corporates, utilities, and energy companies across APAC.
- Collaborate with Trading Analysis, Policy, Regulatory, and Corporate teams to leverage market developments and regulatory changes for business growth.
Requirements
- 3 to 7 years of experience in commercial roles within commodities, energy, or environmental markets
- Proven track-record managing large accounts and closing large-scale transactions
- Strong familiarity with APAC energy markets
- Existing network in the regional energy or environmental space is highly preferred
- Experience with environmental commodities such as I-RECs, RECs, EACs, GOs, or carbon and/or power is a plus
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional APAC languages is an advantageous
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to navigate fast-paced, complex negotiations
- Self-starter who takes full ownership of deals, opportunities, client relationships, and stakeholder engagement
- Analytical and structured approach to identifying and acting on market opportunities
