Job Description
The Solar Project Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of commercial rooftop solar projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, construction, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while providing leadership and technical guidance across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of solar projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, construction, and scheduling.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance across project teams and external partners.
- Manage project reporting, risk mitigation, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Requirements
- Experience overseeing the full lifecycle of solar projects, including project planning, budgeting, procurement, construction, scheduling, reporting, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to provide leadership and technical guidance across teams and with external partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Proven track record of managing projects in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and coordinating project activities.
- Ability to work in the Illinois Greater Chicago area or willingness to relocate with assistance.
- Experience managing project schedules and budgets in a fast-paced environment.
