Job Description
A Senior Solar Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of commercial solar PV projects, ensuring successful execution, safety, quality, and budget adherence while mentoring project teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects throughout their full lifecycle.
- Ensure successful project execution, including managing schedule, budget, safety, quality, and risk.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers to promote best practices and consistency across projects.
- Partner with Engineering, Construction, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within financial targets.
Requirements
- Experience leading and overseeing a portfolio of commercial solar PV projects across their full lifecycle.
- Ability to successfully execute individual projects while mentoring and developing Project Managers.
- Experience driving consistency and best practices across multiple projects.
- Full accountability for portfolio-level budget, schedule, safety, quality, and risk management.
- Partnering closely with Engineering, Construction, Safety, Procurement, Finance, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within approved financial targets.
- Based in the Illinois Greater Chicago area or willing to relocate with assistance.
- Strong leadership skills to serve as a key leader within the Project Management organization.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain full accountability for safety, quality, and risk management across projects.
