Job Description
The Senior Manager, Asset Management is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing the performance, safety, and compliance of Silicon Ranch's utility-scale renewable energy assets, including solar and battery storage projects, while managing vendor relationships and ensuring long-term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the performance, optimization, and risk of utility-scale renewable energy assets.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of solar and BESS assets.
- Monitor daily asset operations to maximize revenue and financial performance.
- Lead resolution of asset outages to minimize safety and financial impacts.
- Coordinate with O M providers, landowners, and utilities on maintenance and issue resolution.
- Develop and track budgets, operating expenses, and revenue streams.
- Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare performance reports and provide insights to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Support onboarding and transition of new projects from delivery to asset management.
- Collaborate with development, engineering, and operations teams on asset optimization and integration of BESS.
- Develop and implement strategic asset management plans, including capital improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or Finance.
- 6 to 8 years of professional experience, with strong preference for background in Solar, BESS, financial analysis, project management, or related fields.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, MS Power Platform Apps, Automation, and Business Intelligence tools.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
- Ability to act as the single point of accountability for the commercial operation and performance of assigned assets.
- Experience monitoring day-to-day operations of renewable energy assets and ensuring projects operate at or above expected levels.
- Experience leading resolution of asset-related outages utilizing internal and external resources to minimize safety and financial impacts.
- Experience serving as the primary point of contact for O M providers, landowners, and local utilities, including overseeing maintenance schedules, issue resolution, and warranty claims.
- Experience developing and tracking project budgets, operating expenses, and revenue streams.
- Experience ensuring compliance with PPAs, interconnection agreements, and other key project contracts.
- Experience delivering performance reports for stakeholders and investors, including providing independent analysis and presenting actionable insights.
- Experience delivering executive-level reporting and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Experience ensuring all projects meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Experience supporting onboarding processes and maintaining revenue maximization efforts for new projects transitioning from project delivery to asset management.
- Experience coordinating with development, construction, legal, and finance teams to ensure accurate transfer of project documentation, contracts, and data at designated Stage Gate milestones.
- Experience collaborating with development, engineering, and operations teams to plan and execute the integration of BESS into existing solar or hybrid assets.
- Experience leading the development and implementation of strategic asset management plans such as capital improvement plans or repowering.
- Proficiency in project management software such as GreenPowerMonitor, QuickBase, Softwrench Maximo, or similar (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance urgent operational needs with long-term planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Results-driven professional with strong problem-solving skills, integrity, and a solid work ethic.
