The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing solar energy projects ranging from 1 MW to 100 MW, managing multiple stakeholders, contracts, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful project delivery in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all commercial aspects of PV solar projects, including contract negotiations and management
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risks in collaboration with project controls team
Oversee project communication, reporting, and stakeholder management
Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project delivery and compliance
Manage key project team members and oversee their activities related to the project
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related applicable discipline or applicable equivalent experience.
3 to 7 years of experience in project management and/or construction management.
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
Strong organizational skills and a prompt communication style.
Strong business acumen and understanding of contracts and contract administration.
Experience managing small to large scale PV Solar projects ranging in size between 1 MWac to 100 MWac, including managing a single project or a portfolio of projects in various stages executed concurrently depending on size and complexity.
Ability to manage and report on project scope, schedule, budget, installation rates, and project risks in conjunction with project controls team members.
Experience managing costs and performing change management.
Experience managing key project team members such as Project Engineer, Sourcing Manager, Site Manager, in coordination with their respective functional managers.
Experience engaging in client and community relations.
Ability to interface with Environment, Health, Safety, and Security departments and contractors related to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project; Procore experience is a plus.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of standardized project management processes and tools.
Technical proficiency in evaluating current project management standards and practices and providing recommendations for improvement.
Interest in solar projects; solar project experience is a plus.
Exposure or experience with the US renewable energy market and design-build projects is beneficial.
