The Intern, Regenerative Energy, supports the planning, development, and management of renewable energy projects with a focus on land management, environmental permitting, and stakeholder coordination, contributing to Silicon Ranch's sustainable energy initiatives and land restoration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Support planning and execution of Regenerative Energy projects and land management activities
Coordinate project data collection, documentation, and communication among teams and stakeholders
Assist with environmental permitting, land management forecasting, and project scheduling
Manage relationships with vendors and consultants to align land management and civil maintenance efforts
Develop and maintain project documentation, processes, and standardized procedures
Catalog ancillary lands and propose efficient land utilization methods
Support development and transition of assets from RE-Asset Development to RE-Asset Management
Track project costs, schedules, and progress using project management tools
Assist with vegetation management plans and service delivery schedules
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Ecology, Biology, Soil Science, Ecosystem Sciences, Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
Interest in renewable energy, land management, or ecosystem-focused projects.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with adaptability to change.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective decision-making abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
Excellent customer service skills, with an emphasis on listening and responsiveness.
Proficient in project management processes and tools.
Working knowledge of project scheduling concepts and tools, including Microsoft Project (experience with ProCore is a plus).
Proficient in office productivity software such as the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of mapping software such as Google Earth, PastureMap, or similar tools.
Familiarity with multi-species rotational grazing systems, specifically AMP grazing or Holistic Planned Grazing.
