Job Description

The EHS S Administrator supports environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs within a chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance, maintaining safety records, coordinating training, and assisting with various EHS initiatives on a temporary contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

Audit hazardous waste areas, spill kits, fire extinguishers, and AEDs
Schedule and coordinate respiratory protection fit tests
Maintain chemical inventory and ensure compliance for inspection readiness
Develop and digitalize EHS&S training content
Schedule and support in-person EHS&S training sessions
Update and maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
Triage and respond to EHS&S requests via task management application
Prepare communication materials related to EHS&S
Manage EHS&S training through tracking systems
Perform document control management for EHS&S records

Requirements

At least 6 years of administrative experience in a professional or academic setting.
Eager to learn a variety of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS S) disciplines.
Ability to maintain compliance to local, federal, and Sila standards and regulations.
Experience conducting audits of hazardous waste areas, spill kits, fire extinguishers, and AEDs.
Experience scheduling and coordinating respirator fit tests and managing respiratory protection programs.
Experience calibrating Industrial Hygiene (IH) equipment and maintaining chemical inventory to ensure inspection readiness and compliance.
Experience digitalizing and developing EHS S training content and supporting scheduling of in-person trainings.
Ability to update and maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
Experience triaging incoming EHS S requests via EHS S Task Management Application (e.g., Asana).
Ability to prepare communication materials via intranet, email, Gchat, etc.
Experience managing EHS S trainings through Quickbase or similar systems.
Ability to perform EHS S document control management.
Excellent attention to detail.
General computer literacy to navigate various IT platforms and EHS S organizational tools.
Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with different team members.
Ability to coordinate and schedule with third-party vendors.
Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly program requirements with little oversight.
Action-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection daily.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment including lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe safety shoes.
Ability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs with assistance of lift equipment and carts.
Ability to walk moderate distances such as from building to building and remain stationary for extended periods.
Ability to reach low shelves or items on the floor.
Ability to climb stairs or over containment walls.
Handling of a range of material quantities.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a laptop, copier, and printer.
Availability to work a regular shift Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.
