Job Description

The Segment Strategy Manager at Sila is responsible for identifying and developing market-entry strategies for innovative target segments such as robotics and eVTOLs, translating technical advantages into profitable business opportunities, and collaborating across teams to drive go-to-market plans and industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and develop market-entry strategies for new target segments such as robotics and eVTOLs.
  • Conduct market analysis including TAM, SAM, SOM, competitive intelligence, and customer research to inform strategic direction.
  • Develop business cases for new products and markets, translating product metrics into customer value and ROI.
  • Implement and oversee company-wide pricing frameworks across offerings.
  • Lead industry thought leadership initiatives through technical briefings and strategic events.
  • Create sales playbooks, training, and marketing materials tailored to specific segments.
  • Execute early-stage go-to-market plans to validate segment assumptions and facilitate sales transition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • 8 years of industry experience with demonstrable experience in Segment Marketing, Product Marketing, or Strategy within a B2B environment, preferably working with a manufacturing-heavy, technical product
  • Proven history of using data and market research to build and champion major business cases for new products or market entry
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple, disparate segments simultaneously and connect the dots between technical capability and commercial opportunity
  • A strong bias for action, speed to impact, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Executive teams without direct authority
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to trade shows, conferences, and customer sites (approximately 20% of the time)

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range: $136,000 to $172,000 base pay
Work schedule: Domestic and international travel approximately 20% of the time
