Job Description
The Segment Strategy Lead at Sila is responsible for identifying and developing market-entry strategies for innovative target segments such as robotics and eVTOLs, translating technical advantages into profitable business opportunities, and collaborating across teams to drive go-to-market plans and industry thought leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and develop market-entry strategies for new target segments such as robotics and eVTOLs.
- Conduct market analysis, including TAM, SAM, SOM, competitive intelligence, and customer research to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop business cases with customer value propositions and ROI for new products and markets to secure executive approval.
- Implement and manage company-wide pricing frameworks across all offerings.
- Lead industry thought leadership initiatives through technical briefings and strategic events.
- Create sales playbooks, training, and marketing materials tailored to specific segments.
- Execute early-stage go-to-market plans to validate segment assumptions and facilitate sales transition.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
- 12 years industry experience or demonstrable experience in Segment Marketing, Product Marketing, or Strategy within a B2B environment, preferably working with a manufacturing-heavy, technical product
- Proven history of using data and market research to build and champion major business cases for new products or market entry
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple, disparate segments simultaneously and connect the dots between technical capability and commercial opportunity
- A strong bias for action, speed to impact, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams such as Sales, Product, and Executive without direct authority
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to trade shows, conferences, and customer sites (approximately 20% of the time)

Compensation/salary range: between 169,000 and 213,000 USD
Work schedule: includes domestic and international travel around 20% of the time
