The Senior Manager, People Operations oversees the daily functions of the HR team, managing compliance, employee benefits, immigration, and employee support to ensure operational excellence and adherence to employment laws.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily functions of the People Operations Team, ensuring compliance and employee support
Administer core people programs including benefits, leave of absence, workers' compensation, and immigration
Develop and implement People Operations strategies to support business needs
Manage employee inquiries and provide support to applicants, employees, and supervisors
Support performance management and compliance programs, including policy reviews and mandatory training
Hire, coach, and support talent development through feedback and challenges
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in People Operations or as an HR Generalist, with at least 3 years of direct supervisory or management experience.
Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws including California and Washington.
Experience developing clear, effective People policies and employee handbooks.
Strong expertise in managing complex People Operations programs, including employee benefits, leave administration (LOA), workers compensation, and US immigration.
Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems like ADP WorkforceNow and Greenhouse, or the ability to quickly learn new software.
Exceptional organizational, conflict resolution, and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
