The Accounts Director for Automotive and Consumer Electronics markets is responsible for leading market entry and commercial success in Korea and Japan by developing strategic relationships, managing complex negotiations, and guiding account growth for Sila's innovative battery materials.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute account strategies for key customers in Korea and Japan.
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with decision-makers at customer organizations.
Lead complex commercial negotiations and manage the entire sales cycle.
Develop multi-year customer forecasts and demand projections.
Act as the primary commercial contact and manage account activities to ensure opportunity progression.
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams to align on customer deliverables and timelines.
Mentor junior team members in negotiation and account management best practices.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, sharing insights internally.
Requirements
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in strategic account management or technical business development, focusing on automotive supply chains and or battery cell makers.
Proven experience selling novel products that require physical integration and long qualification cycles.
Expertise in leading complex, C-level negotiations for multi-year agreements.
Fluency in English and Korean is required, with international experience and familiarity with Korean business culture being essential.
Exceptional presentation skills with the proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier printer, etc in a fixed location.
At least 50 travel required, both domestic and international.
