The Asset Performance Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and maintaining the performance of residential solar systems to ensure their long-term reliability and efficiency, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and optimize system operation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct performance verification testing (PVT) on residential solar systems to ensure proper operation and system health
Analyze system data to identify trends, underperformance, or operational anomalies
Investigate root causes of performance issues such as equipment faults, shading, soiling, or design inconsistencies
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer and hardware-related issues
Maintain accurate case documentation, including findings, actions taken, and resolutions
Track performance metrics to ensure timely handling of cases within SLAs
Support system redesign and re-contracting efforts when misdesigns are identified
Identify recurring performance issues and share insights to improve operational processes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer, tech, or sales support role is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze system data to identify trends, underperformance, or operational anomalies.
Experience conducting performance verification testing (PVT) on residential solar systems to ensure proper operation and system health.
Ability to investigate root causes of performance issues such as equipment faults, shading, soiling, or design inconsistencies.
Proficiency in enterprise software tools including G Suite, Salesforce, and Zendesk.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
High degree of proactiveness, adaptability, and resourcefulness to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Customer service mindset with a focus on resolving issues efficiently.
Attention to detail in documenting case findings, actions taken, and final resolutions.
Ability to track performance metrics and ensure cases are handled within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Knowledge of the construction or solar industry is preferred.
Spanish proficiency is a plus.
