Job Description

A Machine Learning Scientist responsible for developing and optimizing large language models and AI agents to advance battery material discovery and improve lithium battery technology through innovative AI research and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research in machine learning for scientific discovery, focusing on multimodal Large Language Models and AI agents for battery and material discovery
  • Integrate domain-specific data into LLM training and inference to support battery design research
  • Troubleshoot and optimize large language model training processes for performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop AI solutions that advance battery material discovery and technology
  • Publish research findings and present at conferences to contribute to academic and industry knowledge

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Computational Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong foundational knowledge and practical experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Large Language Models.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to machine learning, with a strong preference for Python.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Proficiency in utilizing causal graphs for AI research and application.
  • A solid track record of innovative research, preferably with published work in relevant areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
