This role involves leading the development and management of an AI-driven materials discovery platform for advanced battery technologies, bridging scientific research with engineering to accelerate material innovation and battery performance.
Key Responsibilities
Define and manage the product vision and roadmap for AI-driven materials discovery software.
Translate scientific research and user needs into clear requirements for engineering and research teams.
Oversee coordination of AI for materials software development and research activities.
Integrate scientific findings into scalable, usable platforms for research and production.
Identify opportunities to leverage ML force-field models and AI molecular modeling to enhance battery electrolyte design.
Drive cross-functional alignment and execution across research, engineering, and materials teams.
Requirements
Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Computational Materials Science, or a related quantitative field, with an emphasis on Computational electrolyte design or interfacial chemistry being highly desirable.
Deep technical literacy in Computational Chemistry, including proficiency in DFT and MD simulations for materials analysis.
Proven experience as a Science-literate Product Manager overseeing the full software product lifecycle, specifically in the AI4Science or Materials Informatics space.
Demonstrated experience defining and managing complex roadmaps and coordinating across research, engineering, and materials organizations.
Experience working with ML force-field models and other AI molecular modeling techniques.
Ability to translate complex scientific research and user needs into clear, customer-driven requirements for engineering and research teams.
Ability to define requirements that serve both the deep research community and material production teams to ensure platform usability and scaling.
Experience managing the product lifecycle for AI-driven materials discovery platforms and overseeing AI for materials software and research coordination.
Strong cross-functional leadership skills to drive alignment and execution across research, core engineering, and experimental materials teams within a fast-paced AI and battery materials organization.
