The role involves leading technical B2B sales efforts in the new energy and battery materials markets, focusing on commercializing AI-powered scientific solutions and building strategic partnerships to drive market adoption of advanced battery and lab automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical B2B sales efforts in the new energy, lithium battery, and chemical materials markets.
- Identify and secure clients in frontier technology areas, promoting AI-powered smart lab solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Translate customer needs into technical solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations highlighting the value of AI solutions.
- Manage negotiations to secure commercial agreements and drive client acquisition.
- Maintain deep understanding of customer workflows related to battery materials and laboratory automation.
Requirements
- Education: B.A. or B.S. in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Career Path: A career progression that began in a technical role (e.g., Chemical Engineer) and transitioned into a customer technical supporting sales or business development position.
- Technical B2B Sales: Proven track record in technical B2B sales, negotiating and closing enterprise accounts in relevant markets such as new energy, battery, and chemical materials.
- Domain Literacy: Deep technical literacy in battery materials, lithium battery technology, and the broader new energy ecosystem.
- Experience: Experience in sales market strategy, including leading technical B2B sales efforts within the new energy, lithium battery, and chemical materials markets, managing the entire enterprise account lifecycle.
- Experience: Ability to identify and secure clients in frontier technology areas, specifically driving the adoption of AI-powered smart lab solutions.
- Experience: Conducting comprehensive market analysis to identify key opportunities and strategic partnerships within the energy OEM market and chemical materials industry.
- Solution Delivery: Ability to translate complex customer needs and technical challenges into clear solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
- Solution Delivery: Experience developing and delivering technical solution presentations that articulate the value proposition of AI solutions within material science workflows.
- Solution Delivery: Skills in managing negotiations, driving agreements to completion, and securing commercial success.
- Domain Product Integration: Maintain a deep understanding of customer battery chemical material workflows, effectively communicating the value of AI4Science ecosystem, including laboratory automation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Direct experience with the commercialization of AI4Science platforms, data-driven solutions, or smart lab automation systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience at major battery manufacturers or suppliers (e.g., BYD, CALB, Wanhua) or at specialized smart-lab automation companies.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience selling frontier tech solutions, demonstrating the ability to educate the market and secure early adopters.
