Job Description
The Strategy Operations Lead is responsible for managing core operating rhythms, facilitating cross-functional initiatives, and supporting strategic decision-making to help scale the business. The role involves partnering with leadership to improve operational processes, drive strategic projects, and translate insights into actionable plans within a fast-growing, private equity-backed company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and facilitate core company forums, including leadership meetings and all-hands sessions, ensuring focused and actionable discussions
- Track decisions, action items, and follow-up to ensure accountability across leadership
- Improve the company's operating cadence and decision-making forums as the business scales
- Partner with analysts to develop executive dashboards and business review materials
- Act as a neutral facilitator to drive alignment and resolve tradeoffs across teams
- Structure complex problems into clear decision frameworks and translate strategy into actionable initiatives
- Support the rollout of new strategies and processes through training, communication, and stakeholder alignment
- Lead and support strategy projects such as market research, competitive analysis, and business case development
- Translate strategic insights into recommendations and execution plans
- Support long-term planning and initiative tracking for the business
Requirements
- Experience supporting and running core company forums, including the Operating Committee meeting with senior leadership and the Monthly Company All Hands, with responsibility for setting agendas, final material preparation, and facilitating meetings to ensure discussions are focused, decision-oriented, and actionable.
- Ability to support leaders in preparing presentation materials and ensure leaders are ready to present, including providing support as needed with material preparation.
- Proven track record of tracking decisions, action items, and follow-through to ensure accountability across leadership.
- Experience continuously improving the company's operating cadence and decision forums as the business scales.
- Ability to partner with reporting analysts to develop executive-ready dashboards and business reviews.
- Experience acting as a neutral thought partner and facilitator to drive alignment and resolve tradeoffs across teams.
- Skill in structuring complex, ambiguous problems into clear decision frameworks.
- Ability to translate strategy into priorities, initiatives, and execution plans.
- Experience supporting the rollout of new strategies and processes through training, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
- Ability to measure adoption and impact of new strategies and iterate based on feedback and results.
- Experience leading and supporting strategy projects such as competitive analysis, market and industry research, strategic option analysis, and business case development.
- Ability to translate strategic insights into clear recommendations and execution plans.
- Experience supporting longer-term planning and initiative tracking for the business.
- Proficiency in creating concise documentation, decision memos, project plans, and procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategy, operations, or a related role supporting executive decision-making and operational processes.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate meetings, prepare materials, and document decisions clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and bring structure to complex problems.
- Willingness to travel monthly to the company's headquarters in Ridgewood, NJ, if based in New York City.
