Job Description
The Product Engineering Manager leads a team providing power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers, managing assets such as solar, energy storage, and control systems to ensure reliable and optimized microgrid operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team providing power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers
- Manage microgrid assets such as solar, energy storage, switchgear, controls, and reciprocating engines
- Oversee project design, engineering, and execution of microgrid systems
- Ensure the delivery of systems optimized for maximum value, reliability, and fast deployment
Requirements
- Experience leading a team that provides power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers.
- Ability to manage a variety of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and microgrid assets such as solar, energy storage, switchgear, controls, and reciprocating engines.
- Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid role based out of either Ridgewood, NJ, NYC, Los Angeles, or Oakland, CA offices.
- Proven experience in project design, engineering, and execution of microgrid systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver systems that are optimized to deliver maximum value from day one while ensuring ultra-reliable operations and fast time-to-power.
- Ability to contribute to a fast-paced, private equity-backed growth business environment.
- Experience in providing power systems engineering expertise for microgrid projects.
